AICN has landed some very official looking concept images showing what Chris Evans will look like in costume in Captain America: The First Avenger. While they can’t confirm the images are from Marvel Studios, most everyone assumes they are real.
The “Jersey Shore” cast is bidding to bump its salaries up to a fist-pumping $10,000-an-episode following the wild success of their MTV show.
The cast — including Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, “Pauly D” Delvecchio, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Jenni “J-Woww” Farley – earned only a few hundred dollars each per episode for the first season, and now want a huge raise for the next one.
A source close to the crew told us, ”They want $10,000 an episode, arguing that the stars from ‘The Hills’ get $100,000 per episode and that show doesn’t even rate as high. They’re hanging together like the cast of ‘Friends’ and saying if they don’t all get the pay increase, none of them will return.”
Thursday’s finale was watched by 4.8 million viewers, three times the audience of the season opener. Now cast members believe they’re worth up to $100,000 each to film the second season this summer. The negotiations are being led by shrewd operator Larry Rudolph, who is managing Pauly D.
But Snooki says that if the talks fail, she plans to find herself a rich man. She told The Post’s Kirsten Fleming: ”If I am not tied up with work, I will get my own beach house in Belmar and live it up. There’s mad-hot rich guys there.”*
On the party circuit, the “Jersey Shore” stars are in great demand, earning up to $10,000 a night for personal appearances. They’ll miss Pauly D’s deejay gig at Sutton Place tonight because they’ve been invited to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ “Sweet Sixteen” party for his son, Justin. And sources said Snooki has been invited to the Grammys by Ellen DeGeneres.
Snooki said she was hiring a bodyguard to keep fans at bay. The 22-year-old “Princess of Poughkeepsie” explained, ”When we try to go to TGI Friday’s or Applebee’s, we can’t eat because people go crazy.”
A rep for MTV refused to comment on the negotiations and added, “We have not yet confirmed a season two.”
MTV was chatting with War Machine co-creator Bob Layton and it seems that there are hints in Iron Man 2 that might lead up to a Demon in a Bottle storyline in Iron Man 3. Now I didn’t realize they were already writing 3 (since I assume Avengers will fit in between) but Layton seems convinced it could happen.
Worst Previews quotes Layton:
“I think they’ve come up with a terrific segue to the third film, which I think is going to be fairly powerful,” he said. “My understanding is that the third film could very well be the ‘Demon in a Bottle’ story mixed in there with everything and I’m kind of looking forward to that, if that’s where they wind up going.”
I hope they build up into a solid Demon storyline. Its what Iron Man was made for. Its the most meaningful and notable storyline in all of the Iron Man books.
It defines Stark and gives heart to the character instead of just a careless millionaire in a suit made of kickass.
Reps for Jared Padalecki confirm to us exclusively that the rumors are true, and he is engaged to marry former Supernatural costar Genevieve Cortese.
Padalecki plays Sam Winchester on the CW’s cult-hit series about a pair of demon-hunting brothers on a destiny run; Cortese appeared on the fourth season of the series as the second embodiment of the comely but eeeevil demon Ruby. (Melrose Place star Katie Cassidy played Ruby’s first iteration.)
So how did this happen, and when’s the big day?

Hollyscoop reports that country music star Taylor Swift is in talks to headline a planned “Supergirl” reboot at Warners. An unnamed insider states, “A number of young stars are being mentioned for the title role in a Supergirl movie and possible TV spin-off and Taylor is top of that list.

Realtors are having a hard time selling a condominium that is being currently occupied by Lil Wayne, because the property reeks of marijuana.
A potential buyer, who visited the property, told the New York Post gossip column Page Six,“My fiancee and I called to make an appointment to see it, and the broker, deadpan, goes, ‘I have two questions: Are you offended by the smell of marijuana? And do you mind coming late in the afternoon? It’s currently rented by Lil Wayne, and these are not morning people.’
“Once we got there, a member of Wayne’s posse opened the door to the overwhelming smell of marijuana. Two hot, rap-video-looking girls were walking around in nothing but a bra and underwear, blasting hip-hop. We just went in and looked around and tried not to stare.”

True Blood’s wolf hunt has officially begun!
Although Alan Ball confirmed to me over the summer that werewolf Alcide would take a big bite out of the drama’s upcoming third season, the search for an actor to play the pivotal part formally got underway today with the release of the following casting notice:
ALCIDE: Good-looking, rough-around-the-edges, articulate, heroic, and decent, but not what he seems. He gets along well with Sookie. There’s even an attraction between the two. Very strong recurring.
True Blood is also searching for a fortysomething African-American actor to play HOLLIS, a bouncer in a bar. Despite his scary appearance — he resembles an NFL lineman — he’s a nice guy who knows Alcide well. He’s suspicious of Sookie and delivers some unexpected bad news to Alcide about his fiancée, Debbie Pelt.
Finally, Alan Ball is on the lookout for an actor in his 70s to play Arlene’s old-school (spoiler alert) obstetrician.

Star Trek star Chris Pine is reportedly smitten with actress Olivia Munn after just one month of dating.
The actor’s romantic exploits last hit the headlines in May when he was spotted enjoying a dinner date with reality TV star Audrina Patridge.
Pine reportedly dumped Patridge just weeks later after allegedly tiring of all the media attention.
But Pine has moved on and has now found happiness with Iron Man 2 actress and G4 network host Munn, according to Us Weekly magazine.
A source tells the publication, “It’s quite serious already. They have an intellectual connection as well as a physical one.”

Danneel showed off her beautiful engagement ring on Saturday at the Breeders’ Cup in Los Angeles.
